Do you know what some Japanese are shouting when they enjoy looking at fireworks? You would often hear “Tamaya-” and occasionally hear “Kagiya-“. Two very famous firework pyrotechnists in the Edo era were from the house called “Tamaya” and “Kagiya”. The shouts are known to be stemed from these house names.
