華道は、植物や、その他様々な材料を組み合わせて、構成し、鑑賞する芸術である。「花道」とも表記し、また、いけばなとも呼ばれる。 ただし華道という呼称は「いけばな」よりも、求道的な意味合いが強調されている。華道には様々な流派があり、様式・技法は各流派によって異なる。

The art of flower arrangement is the art of creating and appreciating flowers using only plants or a combination of plants and various other materials. It is also called ikebana (flower arrangement, ikebana, flower arrangement). However, the term “KADO” has a more spiritual connotation than “Ikebana”.
